The Circulatory System
“Blood & Boons, Sunshine; hunger makes our world go ‘round after all,”
Livestock is the name of the game. In the modern nights, more than ever before, licks need a way to feed; and with the Inquisition breathing down their necks, the Masquerade is more important than ever. Camarilla, Anarch, unaligned - the Circulatory system can get what you want, at a price.
Less of a movement, and more an underground institution, the Circulatory system is composed of Roaches with questionable morals, who pride themselves on surviving above all else. A necessary evil, some say, they trade in kine to slake the needs of the Kindred of Bristol - and throughout the rest of the world. Membership to the system is a safety net; selling away your humanity piece by piece, boon by bloodstained boon. Prove yourself useful, and you can make a career out of human-trafficking amongst the unliving; fuck-up, and you’re likely end up some blood-leeches next meal.
Criminals, Lawyers, street gangs; anyone with the ability to move bodies unseen, make the law look the other way, or beat the fangs off people who get in the way of sales find themselves at home amongst this movement. The political landscape of Kindred morphs and changes - capricious and unstable - but the Hunger remains. As long as they can sell, and be afforded protection as a result, they couldn’t give a fuck who’s buying.
Even a feral mutt doesn’t bite the hand that feeds, and the damned know that all too well.
[[Players who elect to play a member of the Circulatory System are by necessity going to have to interact with themes of human trafficking; when discussing themes during play please be sure to check in with those involved in the scene prior.
